What Dental Bridges Can Do for Your Smile

Dental bridges are a reliable solution for replacing missing teeth and restoring both function and appearance. They help maintain oral balance while supporting long-term dental health.

    • Reorganise biting forces evenly across the mouth

    • Help prevent excessive tooth wear

    • Stop neighbouring teeth from moving out of their natural position

    • Provide structure and support to the mid and lower regions of the face

    • Allow comfortable, problem-free chewing

    • Improve speech clarity and fluency

    Types of Dental Bridges

Dental bridges are fixed solutions designed to replace missing teeth and restore normal function and appearance.

    Dental Bridge Treatment Process

    Step 1:

Consultation to assess your mouth and prepare the supporting teeth. The teeth receiving crowns may be gently reshaped to allow proper crown placement.

    Step 2:

Impressions are taken and sent to the dental laboratory to create your custom-made bridge, matched to your natural tooth shade. A temporary bridge is provided while your permanent one is made.

    Step 3:

Your permanent bridge is fitted and carefully checked for comfort, bite, and chewing function before being securely fixed in place.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Most people can have a dental bridge, as long as the teeth next to the gap and the surrounding gums are healthy enough to support it.

With proper oral care and routine dental check-ups, dental bridges can remain effective for many years before requiring replacement.

Yes, dental bridges are custom-made to match your natural teeth in shape and colour, helping them feel comfortable and look natural.

Dental bridges can be conventional, Maryland, or implant-supported, and your dentist will recommend the most suitable option for your mouth.

The treatment is carried out under local anaesthetic, so discomfort is minimal and usually short-lived.

Once your bridge has settled, it should restore normal chewing and speech with confidence.
